Voted 1 of the top 20 hikes in the world by National Geographic and ideal for sunrise or sunset. With a bit of an adventure, we will ascend staples and chains but not to worry, I will guide and assist you every step of the way.
This "not so little" mountain will take around 2 hours up and 1 hour down depending on pace and points of interest.
The most direct path up or down Table Mountain is a zig zag of steps on steroids. It’s daunting in the heat but on a partially cloudy day with a breeze, the cloud theatre is amazing. Summiting this route is always a rewarding one, for any hiker regardless of their fitness level.
A guided hike will take about 2.5 hours up and head down via the Cable Car if operational. Or else descend via the same path. Add an additional 1 hour to the hike.
India Venster boasts phenomenal city and ocean views on a clear day, and exciting scrambles if you are looking for an adventure. You may even spot Starlings and Sunbirds, Dassies and if you are lucky, even a Tsar! You may even spot some rock climbers or even abseilers. Not to forget a variety of fynbos, some of which is indigenous to our Cape Floral Kingdom.
A guided hike will take about 3 hours up and head down via the Cable Car if operational. Or else descend via Platteklip Gorge. Add an additional 1 hour to the hike.
The easiest route to get to the top of Table Mountain but also longer than hiking up Platteklip Gorge.
The views along the 12 Apostles route is worth the long trek with a pit-stop on Breakfast Rock and wind dependent, the now Instagram worthy Surfboard. But please note not to take life-threatening poses!
This is also an historical route that not many know of with connections to Table Mountain and the 5 dams.

Oh what a gem of a hike if you know how to navigate to and through the cracks to get to the tear inducing view- points! Especially the super secret ‘Africa Rock’ Instagram worthy photo.
This is not a hard hike but a long one to get to, all along the pipe track. The way down will either be Woody Ravine or Kasteelspoort which adds a bit more distance to the route but oh so worth the tired legs after. A guided hike will take around 5-6 hours.
One of my favourite hikes to do any time of the year but inaccessible after heavy winter downfalls. I am a winter baby and obsessed with waterfalls and Skeleton Gorge definitely delivers in winter (when we are not experiencing a drought that is.
In the heat of summer, the route is mostly sheltered from the unrelenting sun.
What I love even more about Skeleton Gorge, is the unexpected surprise heading up to the dam. I love seeing hiker’s reaction and tell them what they are walking on.
